Community Work and Involvement
Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics is an active participant and sponsor of many local charities and community events. The ImPACT Program will initially be offered at no charge to all Seacoast area schools and sports programs.
ImPACT History:
Access Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics was the first Credentialed ImPACT Consultant on the Seacoast of New Hampshire. For the past six years Access has educated communities of coaches, parents and athletic programs throughout the region on the serious dangers of concussions and head injuries to youth athletes. Access Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics has baseline tested over 3500 athletes and continue to offer Baseline testing free of charge to athletes on the Seacoast of New Hampshire. The Access Sports Medicine ImPACT Sports Concussion Team includes Kevin, Heaton, DO, Chris Wheeler, PA-C who has been treating concussion patients since 2007, Michael Nickerson, APRN, Geoff Shreck, MD and Kevin Strachan, ATC. Our experienced team will carefully manage and monitor each individual athlete’s recovery following a concussion.
