The Mt. Diablo Memory Center Sport Concussion Program provides evidenced based sport concussion care to athletes in the Bay Area. Our center provide comprehensive neuropsychological services for patients with traumatic brain injury, dementia, stroke, neuromedical disorders, and SPORT CONCUSSIONS.

Community Work and Involvement

Dr. Freitag has provided baseline concussion testing and education programming to the following organizations: Tamalpais High School, Redwood High School, Drake High School, Southern Marin Lacrosse, Souther Marin Broncos Pop Warner, Central Marin Chargers Pop Warner

ImPACT History:

Dr. Freitag is a licensed psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist, the founder and Executive Director of the Mt. Diablo Memory Center, and a Credentialed ImPACT Consultant (TM). As a neuropsychologist, he works extensively with individuals with traumatic brain injury and other neurological illnesses. He started the Sport Concussion Program in 2006 and has provided baseline and post injury care to hundreds of athletes in the Bay Area. Dr. Freitag’s athletic experience includes participation as a professional and collegiate soccer player, multi-sport high school athlete, USSF state level soccer referee, USSF licensed soccer coach and a youth sports administrator. During his career, he has suffered at least two sport concussions. Dr. Freitag understands the specialized care that is required to address an athletes needs. He draws upon his experience in athletics to provide empathic concussion injury management.
