About TMC Lakewood
The Sports Medicine Center at Lakewood is staffed by a team of seasoned professionals, all experienced in treating the medical needs of athletes and others with musculoskeletal complaints. All staff are actively involved in supporting organized youth sports programs throughout Eastern Jackson County with on-site medical services for athletic events, from gymnastics to high school football. Lakewood's Sports Medicine
providers are also the exclusive sports medicine providers for all of UMKC's
athletic teams. Patients of all ages are seen in this center. Services include pre-participation exams, evaluation and treatment of acute injuries, concussion management, exercise prescription and counseling, on-site rehabilitation, exercise stress testing.

Community Work and Involvement
Our sports medicine team provides care for the Lee's Summit High Schools, GAGE gymnastics, and all the University of Missouri Kansas City athletes. In addition we provide medical coverage for the annual Hospital Hill Run.
ImPACT History:
Our physicians are combining their previous years of clinic experience in concussion management with new advances in neurocognitive testing to provide a comprehensive concussion treatment program. Dr. Margaret Gibson trained with the Primary Credentialed ImPACT Consultants in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
