About Texas Scottish Rite Sports Medicine

The TSRHC Center for Excellence in Sports Medicine is a comprehensive practice specializing in the treatment of young and growing athletes. When exploring treatment options, sports medicine providers must consider the effects these treatment options may have on a young athlete's growth and development. Whether the problem is in a growing bone or developing brain, we specialize in recognizing, understanding, and reacting to these implications in order to provide the best care for each patient. Our team is comprised of a combination of operative and non-operative physicians, advanced nurse practitioners, athletic trainers, registered nurses, physical therapist, and medical assistants. As a team, we work to develop the best treatment plan for each athlete to get them back in the game.

Community Work and Involvement

In addition to patient care, our providers serve on the Concussion Oversight Teams for Irving and Prosper Independent School Districts and manage injuries on the sidelines as team physician for local high schools. Dr. Miller has also served on the USA Cheer Safety Committee since 2011.
We are members of the North Texas Sports Concussion Network (CON-TEX). In collaboration with the Texas Institute for Brain Injury and Repair (TIBIR) at UT Southwestern Medical Center and several other institutions across North Texas, our research team is participating in a study to better understand concussions and mild traumatic brain injuries.
